Wilton Manors Budget Hearings Sept. 14: Share Your Views

Wilton Manors residents can share their views at a public hearing Monday, September 14, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Commission Chambers. The meeting will cover the proposed city budget and millage rate for the upcoming fiscal year, along with a final hearing for special assessments.

The City Commission will hold its first public hearing on the proposed budget and millage rate for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2026. Discussions will include Resolution No. 2026-065, which proposes a tentative operating millage rate of 5.9835 for general operating budget purposes. A tentative millage levy of 0.1598 for the 2008 City Hall Bond for fiscal year 2026/27 also will be considered.

Resolution No. 2026-066 outlines the proposed tentative budget for the fiscal year from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027. The commission will determine and set the amounts needed to operate the city government for the ensuing year.

Two special assessment hearings are also on the agenda. Resolution No. 2026-063 concerns fire service assessments, aiming to impose them against properties within Wilton Manors for the fiscal year starting October 1, 2026. It details exemptions, assessment rates and the assessment roll.

Resolution No. 2026-064 addresses the JENADA Gated Entrance Improvements Assessment. This hearing will focus on reimposing the assessment against properties for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2026, including approval of the assessment rate and roll.

Residents may speak on any issue during the "Comments from the Public" segment. Each speaker will have three minutes. The meeting agenda includes a call to order, pledge of allegiance and roll call.
