The Lady Lake Town Commission will hold a public hearing Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, to consider amendments to the town's Land Development Regulations. The proposed ordinance, identified as Ordinance 2024-15, would modify the definition of "Family" and introduce a new definition for "Adult Family Care Home" in Chapter 3, Definitions, Section 3.02.00.

The ordinance also seeks to amend Chapter 6, Regulations for Specific Uses, Section 6.03.00, specifically Subsection 6.03.04 concerning Residential Uses. This section would incorporate new regulations for Adult Family Care Homes.

The public hearing will take place at Lady Lake Town Hall, 409 Fennell Blvd., in the Commission Room. The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m.

Residents can review copies of the proposed ordinance at the Office of the Town Clerk, 409 Fennell Blvd., during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The town encourages residents to attend and voice their opinions or submit written comments to the Town Clerk before the hearing. Information regarding reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities can be obtained by contacting the Town Clerk at 352-751-1591 at least two days prior to the meeting.
