Alan C. Cuppett, lifelong resident and business owner in Ridgeley, died April 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.Alan was a graduate of Ridgeley High School and was an apprenticed cosmetologist at age 18. He enjoyed taking care of clients at his salon, “Mr. Alan’s” on Knobley Street. Alan was considered a “hair artist” offering services for men, women and children so they could be “Fabulous!” Make-up, skin care and hair products, and fashion accessories were also available. Patrons enjoyed the outdoor oasis on the second floor of the salon.He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers.Survivors include his sister-in-law, Wanda Zollner, nieces and nephews.At his request, Alan donated his body to the WVU Human Gift Registry – a gift which promotes medical education and research.Friends will be received at Calvary United Methodist Church, 28 Knobley Street, Ridgeley, on Saturday, May 30th. from 2-3 PM.
