Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Adams, Scioto Counties Until 4:30 PM EDT

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for east-central Adams County and west-central Scioto County in south-central Ohio, effective immediately until 4:30 PM EDT today, September 20.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington reports a severe thunderstorm was located near Peebles at 4:07 PM EDT, moving east at 20 mph. This storm is capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts and penny-size hail. Residents in Rarden, Wamsley, Cedar Mills, and Dunkinsville should be aware of potential impacts, including damage to trees and power lines.

For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building immediately. The warning expires at 4:30 PM EDT.
