The North Palm Beach Village Council will consider several significant spending proposals and policy updates at its meeting Thursday, October 8. The agenda includes approvals for landscaping contracts, vehicle purchases, and public safety technology.
The council will vote on a blanket purchase order for landscaping and grounds maintenance with Precision Landscape Company, not to exceed $200,000. This contract covers public spaces village-wide.
Vehicle acquisitions on the agenda include one 2027 Peterbilt front-loader truck for $392,496. The council will also review proposals for 10 additional vehicles totaling $611,926.60 for the Police, Fire Rescue, Public Works, and Community Development departments.
Public safety technology upgrades include a sole-source purchase from Axon Enterprises. This package includes body-worn cameras, a drone system, and a digital evidence management system. The Fiscal Year 2027 cost for this technology is $249,715.72.
Additional agenda items include a Cost of Living Adjustment for the Village Manager, effective October 1, 2026, and the adoption of a revised Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual for Internal Controls. The council will also receive minutes and recommendations from the Charter Review Committee for potential Village Charter amendments.
