The program, created by the Funeral and Memorial Information Council (FAMIC), provides tools and advice for families to connect on a deeper level and preserve cherished memories.

FAMIC emphasizes that modern memorialization reflects an individual's unique life and experiences. These conversations can affirm the impact people have on each other's lives. Sharing memorable events, advice, and life lessons helps families grow closer and appreciate one another.

The initiative suggests conversations can happen with parents, children, spouses, or friends in any comfortable setting, such as a local restaurant or at home. Visual prompts like photo albums or mementos can spark dialogue. FAMIC offers sample questions, including "What is your proudest achievement?" or "Tell me about the most memorable summer you had growing up." Participants may wish to take notes or make recordings to create a lasting record of a person's life and legacy.
