Terry V. Davis, Beloved Grandmother & Cake Maker, Dies in Burke

Terry V. Davis, a devoted grandmother and former federal government employee who also ran a successful cake-making business, died recently. Davis resided in Burke, Virginia.

Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, Davis worked for the federal government for many years before retiring in 2022. She turned her passion for cake making into a thriving business. Her greatest joy came from her family, particularly her role as a grandmother.

Davis was a woman of deep faith, guided by Philippians 4:13. She was an active member of Antioch Baptist Church and a giver in her community. She also supported the Washington Commanders and Penn State.

She is survived by her son, Jeremiah Davis; daughter-in-law, Xiara Davis; and grandchildren, Cyre, Jeremiah Jr., Amarie, and Levi Davis. She will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews, including Paul Hill Jr., Valnita Hill, David Davis, and Teneka Jones.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Direct Cremation Services of Virginia in Chantilly.
