Palm Coast Duo Arrested: Hit-and-Run Injures Driver, Truck Hidden

Two Palm Coast residents face charges after a hit-and-run crash on August 28 injured another driver. Authorities arrested Nina Holley, 43, and Matthew Green, 38, after an investigation revealed they fled the scene and attempted to hide their damaged truck in a garage.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Russell Drive and Ruth Drive. A silver Dodge Ram pickup truck struck another vehicle, causing significant damage and injuring the other driver. Instead of remaining at the scene, the occupants of the Dodge Ram collected broken parts from the roadway and drove away.

A witness reported seeing a silver Dodge Ram with front-end damage speeding from the crash site. A tip led deputies to a home on Roxbury Lane, less than a mile from the intersection. Surveillance footage from a neighbor's camera showed the damaged truck returning to the home approximately three minutes after the crash. One occupant ran to the front door while the other opened the garage, then drove the truck inside and closed the door.

Deputies identified Holley as the driver and Green as the passenger. The investigation also revealed Holley's driver's license was suspended, with four prior convictions for driving while suspended.

Sheriff Rick Staly commented on the arrests, stating, "You can try to hide the evidence, but you can’t hide it from the Sheriff’s Office. These two crashed into someone, injured them, and then figured picking up the pieces and shutting the garage door would make it all disappear. If you cause a crash and run, we are going to find you and hold you accountable."

Deputies arrested Holley for leaving the scene of a crash with injuries, tampering with evidence, and driving with a suspended license as a third or subsequent offense. Deputies arrested Green for tampering with evidence.
