Flagler Beach Opens 2026 Special Event Applications With New 60-Day Deadline & Requirements

The City of Flagler Beach has opened its application process for 2026 special events, introducing new requirements for organizers planning larger gatherings. Event planners must now navigate a revised application procedure, with stricter deadlines and additional approvals for certain types of events.

These changes directly impact events requesting road closures, City co-sponsorship, use of the City Seal, or fee waivers. Organizers of such events must submit their applications no less than 60 days in advance of their proposed event date. This extended lead time allows for the necessary review and approval by the City Commission.

All applicants must review and comply with Ordinance 2025-19, along with any other applicable City Ordinances. This ordinance outlines the regulations and expectations for special events within Flagler Beach, ensuring public safety and proper use of city resources. The City Clerk’s Office requires a fully completed Special Events Application packet from all organizers.

The application packet must be submitted by the required due date to the City Clerk’s Office. Failure to meet these deadlines or provide a complete packet could result in delays or denial of event permits, particularly for those requiring City Commission approval.
