Veteran's Affairs Ambassadors

"Veteran's Affairs Ambassadors Launch of Innovate Chester County, an initiative made up of five resident-led working groups guided by a steering committee. One of those groups focused on veteran services and explored how Chester County can better educate and engage veterans while connecting them to the benefits and resources they have earned. Conversations centered on mental health, housing, addiction, employment, and reducing the stigma that can prevent veterans from seeking support. Earlier this year, the Chester County Department of Veterans Affairs launched a Peer Ambassador Program to build on that work and help veterans connect with available resources. The four ambassadors selected to pilot the program (L-R Eric Stetson, Vincent Perez, and Sarah Mears) will join the Veterans Affairs Office at outreach events across Chester County. Be sure to stop by and say hello."
