Lantana Police Department Warns of Phone Scam The Lantana Police Department is advising residents of a phone scam where the caller is impersonating a law enforcement or government official. The scammer advises the resident that they have a warrant for their arrest or that they owe money to the government. The scammer then demands immediate payment to avoid arrest or legal action. The Lantana Police Department would like to remind residents that they will never demand immediate payment over the phone. If you receive a call of this nature, please hang up and contact the Lantana Police Department at 561-586-1143.
