WEBSTER COUNTY, GA – A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for Webster County, including Preston, effective October 8 at 5:17 PM EDT by the National Weather Service (NWS) Peachtree City GA. Residents are urged to finalize preparations immediately as hazardous conditions are anticipated.
Wind speeds of 10-20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph are expected, with potential for sustained winds of 39 to 57 mph. Prepare for limited wind damage to carports, sheds, and unanchored mobile homes. Large tree limbs may break, and power/communications outages are possible. Act now to secure property.
