A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Wayne County, including Waynesboro, effective immediately until October 10 at 6:00 AM UTC. The National Weather Service in Mobile, AL, issued the warning at 9:49 PM CDT on October 9.
Residents should prepare for gusty winds, with peak forecasts of 10-20 mph and gusts up to 40 mph. While the wind threat has decreased, and sustained winds are expected to remain below tropical storm force, conditions may still be gusty. There is little to no additional wind impact expected, and community officials are currently assessing realized impacts.
