Drive with Caution: Dense Fog Advisory for Bay Area Coastal Regions
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 9:00 AM PDT today, October 7th, for San Francisco, Coastal North Bay, and the San Francisco Peninsula Coast. Expect low visibility and drive with caution, allowing extra travel time.
Commuters in San Francisco, the Coastal North Bay (including Point Reyes National Seashore), and the San Francisco Peninsula Coast are advised to slow down and use extra caution this morning due to a Dense Fog Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) San Francisco CA.
The advisory is in effect until 9:00 AM PDT today, October 7th. Drivers can expect visibility of 1/4 mile or less in dense fog, which could create hazardous driving conditions.
The NWS urges those driving to slow down, use their headlights, and maintain plenty of distance from other vehicles. If you are commuting, allow extra time to safely reach your destination.
