Tropical Cyclone Isaias Threatens Southern Alabama, Florida Panhandle

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Butler, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia (Coastal and Inland), Monroe, Okaloosa (Coastal and Inland), Santa Rosa (Coastal and Inland), and Wilcox counties. A Storm Surge Warning and Tropical Storm Warning are active for Okaloosa Coastal.
Residents in affected areas should prepare for potential damaging winds, especially east of the Alabama River (excluding Baldwin County), which could cause downed trees, power lines, and widespread power outages. Coastal Okaloosa County faces life-threatening storm surge with potential inundation, road washouts, and significant beach erosion.
