The Walton County Sheriff's Office is reaffirming its commitment to equal opportunity employment, encouraging applications from individuals with disabilities and veterans and outlining accommodation policies.

The Walton County Sheriff's Office continues its commitment to equal opportunity employment, actively encouraging applications from qualified individuals with disabilities and veterans. The office will provide reasonable accommodations for those with disabilities, a policy in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Both prospective and current employees are encouraged to discuss accommodation needs directly with the employer.

In accordance with state and federal law, preference will be given to certain service members, veterans, their spouses, and family members. Some service members may also qualify for a waiver of post-secondary educational requirements under Florida Statutes, Chapter 295.
