Trinity Christian Academy Graduate Leads READ USA's Push to Close Jacksonville's Literacy Gap

Robby Kelly, a 1997 Trinity Christian Academy graduate, serves as president and CEO of READ USA, a Jacksonville nonprofit that helps elementary students read at grade level and trains teenagers in leadership and workforce skills.

Kelly holds a PhD from Ohio State University and also leads the Florida Literacy Association. He volunteers with the deaf ministry at Westside Baptist Church and participates in the West Jacksonville Rotary Club.

READ USA has distributed hundreds of thousands of books through community partnerships and served thousands of students. Kelly attributes his commitment to service to his time at Trinity. "Trinity instilled the belief that our gifts should be used to serve others and honor the Lord," he said. He credited teachers Mrs. Andrews, Mrs. Bebernitz, and Mrs. Peterson with fostering his love of learning.
