Jonathan Ridley Named Athletic Director in Walhalla
The City of Walhalla hired Jonathan "Petey" Ridley as Athletic Director on May 11. Ridley, who spent six years with the Seneca Recreation Department, will oversee athletic programs as the city prepares to open a $5.4 million recreation center in August.
At Seneca, Ridley coordinated youth and adult sports programs, managed facility rentals and maintained safety standards. He coached youth travel baseball, served as catching coach for Seneca High School's C-Team and Varsity programs, and led a 14U recreational baseball team.
"I am confident he will give this role his all, bringing energy, dedication and a strong commitment to serving our community," said Parks and Recreation Chair Jessie Bunning. "I believe Ridley will place meaningful focus on developing and supporting the young athletes of the Walhalla area."
Ridley will oversee athletic programming, support facility operations and expand recreational opportunities at the new recreation center.
