Ed Halbig Named City Clerk in Walhalla, SC
WALHALLA, S.C. — Ed Halbig took office Monday as the City of Walhalla's part-time City Clerk, handling administrative support and records for City Council.
Halbig most recently served as Interim Planning Director for Oconee County. He spent more than two decades with the City of Seneca as Director of Planning and Development, managing land use planning, infrastructure projects, and transit initiatives. He also worked as Research and Climate Bureau Chief for the New Mexico Department of Transportation, overseeing federally funded research.
He holds a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Florida State University. He has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners since 2000.
