* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... West central Wake County in central North Carolina... Northeastern Chatham County in central North Carolina...

* Until 645 PM EDT.

* At 552 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 4 miles west of Cary, moving south at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Cary, RDU International, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Crosswinds Boating Center, Crosswinds Campground, New Hill, Jordan Lake, and Jordan Lake State Rec Area.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 283 and 286. US 1 between Mile Markers 83 and 84, and between Mile Markers 88 and 100.
