Wadena Native David Venzke Remembered

Wadena native David Lee Venzke, 56, passed away on August 25, 2026, at his residence in St. Joseph's Ridge, La Crosse County. Mr. Venzke, born in Wadena on January 22, 1970, was a 1988 graduate of Wadena Senior High.

After high school, Mr. Venzke pursued studies in heating and air conditioning at Moorehead Technical College. This education led him to become the proud owner of Advanced Air, LLC, a business he established in La Crosse, WI. He married Sara Weger on May 13, 2006.

Mr. Venzke remained connected to his community through various activities. He served as treasurer of the St. Joe's Snowmobiling club and was an active member of the St. Joseph Ridge Lions club. He enjoyed snowmobiling and yard work.

He is survived by his mother, Lorraine Venzke, and his sister, Pamela (Tom) Burt of Onalaska. He also leaves behind a brother and sister-in-law, many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and numerous special friends. His father, Dennis Venzke, preceded him in death.

A memorial gathering was held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Dickinson Family Funeral Home, located at 1425 Jackson Street, La Crosse, WI. Burial will take place in Wadena at a later date. Family and friends can share online condolences at www.dickinsonfuneralhomes.com.
