Summer Passport Program
"Through an exclusive partnership between the Children's Services Council and the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce, youth participating in summer learning programs funded by CSC are having some amazing experiences this summer. Campers and local businesses have been brought together in the Summer Passport program to provide camp participants with opportunities to visit local businesses, museums and participate in activities that some may otherwise not get to experience, even things that exist right in our own backyard. Visits to these local attractions and organizations keeps campers local, allows them to learn about our community's history and resources and also provides a little fun. Youth can learn how our early settlers churned butter at Heathcote Botanical Gardens, learn how to operate a sailboat with Sail Aki, brush up their golf game at Sandpiper Bay and even decorate cupcakes with the infamous Cake Lady, plus so much more. Participating businesses include: Ana's Artz, Art by Richard Edwards/Highway Men, Building Opportunities Through Golf, Elliot Museum, FAU Harbor Branch, Heathcote Botanical Gardens, Ice Cream Social, Indian River Lagoon Wildlife Boat Tour, Maison de Kallee Jackson, Manatee Center, Navy Seal Museum, Salty's Watersports, Sandpiper Bay Golf Club, Soft Skills Training (SLC Chamber), St. Lucie Cultural Alliance, St. Lucie Mets, Treasure Coast Children's Museum, Treasure Coast Pottery, and Urban Air Adventure Park."
