William “Bill” Richard Sanders of Miami, OK passed from this life Saturday, May 16, 2026 at his home. He was 89.Bill was born June 8, 1936 in Bartlesville, OK to William Allen and Ethel Mae (Hampton) Sanders. He had lived in the Miami and Bluejacket area for almost 30 years moving from Colorado and California. Bill was Commander of the Property Division for Los Angeles Police Department for 31 years. He served in the U.S. Army and US Army Reserves for 29 years. He was a member of American Legion Post # 147, Miami, OK.Bill was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Bobby Ray Sanders.Bill is survived by his wife Mary Catherine (Davis) Sanders of the home, 1 son, William Allen Sanders of Miami, OK. 2 daughters, Gail Lynn Zigler and husband Russell of Mesa, AZ and Karen Suhaan Coon and husband Steve of Torrington, WY and 4 grandchildren, Matthew Zigler of Mesa, AZ, Ryan Christopher Zigler of Apache Junction, AZ, Codie Marie Coon of Torrington, WY and Tallie Mae Coon of Torrington, WY.No services are planned at this time.
