Miami, Okla. — Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) has announced Braylon Spears as Agriculture Instructor and Livestock Judging Coach for the NEO Agriculture Department. A native of Hartshorne, Oklahoma, Spears brings a strong background in agricultural education, livestock evaluation, and student development. Agriculture and the livestock industry have been central to his life through his family’s operation, Spears Farms. Spears earned an Associate of Science in Agricultural Education from Eastern Oklahoma State College before completing a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University in 2025. During his collegiate career, he established himself as a highly accomplished livestock evaluator, competing on nationally successful livestock and meat evaluation teams that earned Reserve National Champion honors and multiple major contest championships. Currently serving as an Agriculture Education Instructor at Wagoner Public Schools, Spears has already demonstrated success in developing student leaders and competitive teams. In his first year at Wagoner, he coached the FFA Livestock Judging Team to a championship at the Oklahoma State FFA Livestock Judging Contest, one of the most competitive events in the state. Spears remains actively involved in the livestock industry through Spears Farms and is passionate about helping students achieve success both academically and professionally. “I am incredibly honored and excited to join Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College as an Agriculture Instructor and Livestock Judging Coach,” said Spears. “NEO has a rich history of excellence in agriculture and livestock judging, and I look forward to building on that tradition while helping students grow both in and out of the classroom. I’m grateful for this opportunity and eager to get to work with the students, alumni, and supporters who make this program so special.” Spears will begin his duties with the NEO Agriculture Department ahead of the 2026-27 academic year.
