Scheck Hillel School Opens 2025-26 Admissions in North Miami Beach

Scheck Hillel Community School in North Miami Beach has outlined its admissions process for the 2025-2026 academic year. The school details application phases, required documents, and key deadlines for prospective students and families.

The process begins with submitting an inquiry and scheduling a campus tour, which runs from early September through December. Tours are not mandatory for application submission. Families apply through the eHillel portal, submitting an online application and a $250 non-refundable fee. A wait pool form is available for grade levels at capacity, without a fee.

The school will release the first round of admissions decisions by mid-February for candidates who complete their application by January 14, 2026. Applications submitted after this date will be reviewed on a rolling basis, space permitting. Scheck Hillel may close applications at any time due to high volume. Application completion does not guarantee acceptance or space.

Phase 2 requires applicants to complete a student checklist via the eHillel portal. This includes submitting birth certificates or passports, report cards, standardized test scores, parent questionnaires, and for grades 6-10, student questionnaires and the "Passion in Progress" project. Applicants entering grades 6-10 must also complete an on-campus MAP Exam. Parents must submit a Permission for Release of Student Records form and updated Florida-compliant immunization and health forms.

Financial aid applications must be completed concurrently with student applications, with a strict deadline of January 14, 2025. Meital Aharon, Financial Aid Manager, can answer specific questions. Eligible candidates for PK3-Grade 10 will be invited for evaluations, screenings, or interviews, and a family meeting with the Rabbinic Director(s). All in-person evaluations and screenings occur on the Scheck Hillel campus.
