Watervliet Schools Grants Tenure to 10 Educators

The Watervliet Board of Education granted tenure to 10 educators at its April 14 meeting, including one administrator and nine teachers.

Molly McGrath received tenure in administration. The teachers earning tenure are Shannon Rodriguez (elementary education), Courtney Unser and Ashley Redding (special education), Stacy Meppen and Dylan Kane (English language arts), Claudia Bunting-Marshall (science), Valerie Ellison (French), Rebecca Haws (school psychologist), and Nicholas Grolley (math).

Tenure provides job security and recognizes sustained professional performance in New York public schools.
