San Marcos Approves Downtown Revitalization Funding

San Marcos City Council approved funding for downtown revitalization July 16, passing Resolution 2024-123 to authorize the project.

The city will upgrade sidewalks, street lighting, and landscaping in the historic downtown core. Officials expect the improvements to draw more residents, students, visitors, and businesses to the area.

Work begins in early 2025 and should wrap up within 18 months.
