A message from our Chief. On behalf of the Dumfries-Triangle Volunteer Fire Department and the Firefighters, EMTs, and Administrative Support Personnel, I thank you for your support of the Dumfries-Triangle Volunteer Fire Department. As Fire Chief, I am pleased to tell you a little about what we do for our community and about our funding needs. Our Firefighters and EMTs stand ready to provide assistance at a moment's notice to anyone who calls. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with 100% volunteers, and provide fire, rescue, and emergency medical services for our community. Last year alone, we responded to over 3000 calls for service. We serve the Triangle, Dumfries, and Prince William County communities. We are a combination department meaning we have both volunteer and career staff to serve our community. We want to thank you for your continued support as we help our community. The Dumfries-Triangle Volunteer Fire Department is supported by donations from the local citizens and by Prince William County. All donations are used to purchase the equipment and supplies necessary to perform life-saving work in our community. In addition, donations are utilized for facility and apparatus maintenance and to ensure our members are properly trained. We provide you with this opportunity to continue your support of our Fire and EMS services. Your financial gift is extremely important to us, and we depend on your support to continue our efforts of protecting the community. Welcome from the Dumfries-Triangle Volunteer Fire Department. We are a 100% Volunteer Fire Department, responding to calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our funding is from donations, fundraising, and Prince William County. We serve the citizens in Triangle, Dumfries and Prince William County.
"The annual Prince William County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association's Awards Banquet will be held on Friday, January 31, 2026. Members of the Dumfries-Triangle Volunteer Fire Department will be attending the banquet that evening."
"The Dumfries-Triangle Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a new Fundraiser- "Fill The Boot"! Members will be at various locations through Triangle and Dumfries to collect donations in a boot. The dates and times are: Saturday, May 20th, 2023 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Sunday, May 21st, 2023 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM All funds collected will go to the purchase of a new Brush Truck for the Department. This fundraiser is in partnership with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local F-253. We appreciate all the support from our community!"

"Fire Prevention Week 2023 is here, and this year's theme is "Fire Won't Wait. Plan Your Escape." The Dumfries-Triangle Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. joins fire departments across the country in promoting this vital message. During Fire Prevention Week, we aim to educate our community on the importance of having a home fire escape plan. Knowing what to do and where to go in case of a fire can save lives. We encourage all residents to discuss their escape plan with their families, practice it regularly, and ensure smoke alarms are installed and working on every level of the home and inside bedrooms. A fire can spread rapidly, and there may be little time to escape once the smoke alarms sound.
