At 2:16 AM EDT on October 10, 2026, radar indicated a strong storm within a tropical rain band over Mount Vernon, moving north at 30 mph. This storm carries an enhanced risk of a brief tornado. Storms embedded within this rainband have exhibited localized rotation, and a brief tornado could form quickly.

The affected locations include Soperton, Mount Vernon, Ailey, Tarrytown, Lothair, and Barnhill.

This alert is effective immediately and expires at 2:45 AM EDT today, October 10, 2026.
