August 30, 2023 HURRICANE IDALIA FLORIDA, GEORGIA and SOUTH CAROLINA – The Postal Service has temporarily suspended service in several areas due to Hurricane Idalia. This includes suspending delivery and retail operations. Please check back for updates. The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
