The Treasure Island Planning and Zoning Board met Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10451 Gulf Boulevard. Board Chair Richard Harris presided over discussions on several variances and site plan approvals.

The board considered three variance requests. VAR-000639-2026 addressed after-the-fact variances for fence or wall height in a streetside yard. VAR-000640-2026 requested a variance for the minimum streetside setback for a new single-family residence.

The St. Pete Lions Club submitted VAR-000641-2026, a request for eleven variances to Land Development Regulations. These included requirements for parking area lighting, surfacing materials, parking space marking, remote parking distances, off-street loading, open space between lot lines, and landscaping.

The board also reviewed SITE-000590-2025, a site plan approval for a commercial property spanning two parcels on both sides of West Gulf Boulevard.

Following public comments, the board heard reports from the City Attorney, staff, and members. They approved minutes from meetings on Jan. 15, Feb. 19, March 19, and May 21, 2026. The date for the next Planning & Zoning Board meeting is not yet set.
