Donn Miller-Kermani Appointed Florida Tech's Director of Sponsored Research

Donn Miller-Kermani, Ph.D., has been selected as Florida Tech’s next director of sponsored research. Chief Research Officer Amy Adamson announced the appointment, which followed an open, national search.

Miller-Kermani officially began her new role on August 31, 2026. She had served as interim director since June 2026, following the retirement of former director Carolyn Lockyer. Before her interim appointment, Miller-Kermani held the position of assistant director of sponsored research from 2021 to 2026, and she has contributed to Florida Tech’s research administration for several additional years.

Adamson stated that Miller-Kermani’s extensive expertise, collaborative approach, and dedication to Florida Tech and its research mission will strengthen the research enterprise. This appointment supports the continued success of the university’s faculty, staff, and students. “We are thrilled to have Dr. Miller-Kermani at the helm of the Office of Sponsored Research,” Adamson said.
