Wind speeds are forecast at 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, with potential for sustained winds of 39 to 57 mph. Damage to unanchored mobile homes, sheds, and large tree limbs is possible, along with scattered power outages. Efforts to protect property should be underway now. Complete all preparations before winds become hazardous.
A Flood Watch is also in effect, with 3-6 inches of rain expected, and locally higher amounts. Moderate flooding is possible, which may prompt evacuations and rescues. Heed all flood watches and warnings; failure to act may result in serious injury or loss of life.
The situation is favorable for tornadoes, with the potential for several, some possibly intense. Those in manufactured homes or on boats should prepare to relocate to safe shelter.
