Tequesta Seeks Bids to Restore Corroded Columns at Public Services Building

The Village of Tequesta is accepting sealed bids for structural repairs at its Public Services Facility at 136 Bridge Road. The project involves restoring steel columns, wall girts, base plates, and anchor bolts damaged by corrosion.

Bidders must submit proposals through DemandStar by 2 p.m. on July 2, 2026. The village will open and read all bids publicly that same day.

Priority Level 1 work focuses on columns with more than 20% section loss or voids requiring structural repair. The village may also authorize Priority Level 2 work, which covers steel cleaning and coating.

Bidding documents are available on DemandStar. Prospective bidders should visit the site to assess conditions that could affect project cost and timeline. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled.

Questions must reach Doug Chambers, Public Works Director, by email by 5 p.m. on June 17, 2026. Chambers will refer technical questions to the design engineer, Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc.

The project operates under Palm Beach County Ordinance No. 2011-039, which restricts communications between potential bidders and village staff or council members until the village awards a contract, rejects all bids, or ends the selection process.
