Domestic violence affects people in every community, including right here in Palm Beach County. The third Thursday of October is nationally recognized as Purple Thursday, a day to wear purple and raise awareness for local resources. Wear Purple on October 22 and let people in your network know that if they come to you in need, you will believe them and connect them with local resources, like the 24/7 Violent Crime Helpline at (561) 833-7273. Keep the momentum going by joining the Public Safety Department Victim Services Division for the third annual Purple Walk to End Domestic Violence in Palm Beach County. Wear purple and enjoy a two-mile walk along the West Palm Beach waterfront. We are meeting at 1300 S Olive Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33401 at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28. The event will be completed by 9:30 a.m. Everyone knows someone. Together, we can create a safer community.
