Residents joined the International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, Sept. 19, to help preserve Jupiter's natural beauty. The River Center organized the event, partnering with Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful and PBC Parks and Recreation. The cleanup targeted litter and illegal dumping in public spaces, including neighborhoods, roadways, waterways and parks. This year's event took place at Coral Cove Park, with volunteers gathering on the beach from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Participants brought their own supplies like refillable water bottles, buckets and garden gloves to minimize waste. Closed-toe shoes, sunglasses and a hat were recommended for comfort and safety during the two-hour effort. No pre-registration was required.

The first volunteers to arrive at the registration and check-in point at Coral Cove Park, 1600 Beach Road in Tequesta, received a free t-shirt. The event aimed to unite the community for the cause of preserving the local environment.
