Martin County has established a six-step process for local businesses to register as vendors and bid on county projects. This initiative aims to streamline opportunities for companies seeking to provide goods and services to the county.
Businesses can access resources including bid opportunities, information on the Business Development Board and commercial real estate search. The county also provides details on existing contracts, surplus equipment sales and its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Plan.
To register, businesses must obtain a Purchasing Manual, secure a Tax Exempt Certificate and complete the Vendor Registration and W-9 forms. These documents are required to establish a vendor profile.
Separately, Martin County residents were alerted to expected King Tides from Sept. 8-15, a public safety advisory unrelated to the vendor process.
