John Drury: Tavares City Administrator

John Drury oversees daily operations for Tavares as City Administrator, reporting to the five-member City Council. He implements council policies, manages the municipal budget, and supervises 11 department heads including the police and fire chiefs.

Drury, originally from Stowe, Vermont, graduated from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1985 with a degree in Public Airport Administration. He holds a pilot's license and managed public airports in Florida, Vermont, and Massachusetts before serving as town manager in Stowe. He serves on the board of the Florida City and County Management Association. Drury is married to JoAnne and has five children.
