Tampa's Code Update Advisory Team to Host Public Meeting on Land Development Code on October 2

Tampa residents will have an opportunity to provide feedback on the city's Land Development Code (LDC) update next month. The Code Update Advisory Team will hold a public meeting on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the City Center at Hanna Avenue.

This meeting offers a direct channel for community members to voice their opinions and suggestions regarding the LDC update. The Advisory Team, composed of public members, provides recommendations to city staff and consultants working on the code revisions. Public comment will specifically focus on the LDC update, with individuals allowed up to three minutes to speak.

The meeting will take place on the second floor of the City Center at Hanna Avenue, located at 2555 E. Hanna Ave., in the Champa & Trophy Conference Room. Attending in person is the only way to participate in the public comment session.

The city encourages public participation to ensure the updated Land Development Code reflects the needs and vision of the community. The LDC governs how land can be used and developed across Tampa, impacting everything from housing and businesses to green spaces and infrastructure.
