On March 29, 2026, the atmosphere at the arena was electric as the Tampa Bay Lightning Foundation named our very own Board Member, the Honorable Fran Davin, as a Lightning Community Hero. This prestigious recognition celebrates individuals who make a lasting impact on the Tampa Bay area. A Legacy of Service Fran has long been a beacon of light in our community. Her career in public service – including her time as a Hillsborough County Commissioner and Tampa City Council member – has always been defined by a commitment to advocacy. Today, she brings that same passion and expertise to MTC, where she works tirelessly to transform the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a member of our Board, Fran’s leadership helps ensure that we embrace our mission “To empower people with disabilities to lead the lives they choose”, by providing pathways to independence, employment, and inclusion for the people we serve.
