Florida State University will extend its Homecoming celebration on November 20 to commemorate its 175th anniversary. The university plans an enhanced parade, a free concert, and a carnival, opening the festivities to FSU students, alumni, and residents of Leon County and Tallahassee.

Themed "Tradition Takes the Spotlight," this year's Homecoming aims to strengthen community ties and celebrate FSU's legacy. The expanded events offer local residents opportunities to engage with the university, including family-friendly carnival activities and a free concert.

Events begin November 13 with Chalk on Legacy Walk. The "Odds and Evens" event, a tradition from the Florida State Women's College era, will take place November 15 with pickleball, basketball, and sand volleyball tournaments. Spirit Night follows on November 16 with student performances. Service Night: Food Fortress on November 17 offers a community service opportunity.

The Homecoming parade begins at 3:30 p.m. on November 20 at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. The route will include Macomb Street, College Avenue, Copeland Street, Jefferson Street, Varsity Drive, and St. Augustine, ending at Doak Campbell Stadium. The FSU Marching Chiefs will perform in the parade.

Before the parade on November 20, attendees can tour the Herbert Wertheim Center for Business Excellence. Homecoming events, which run from November 13-21, will conclude with the football game against NC State. Seminole LIVE! 175 will cap off the day's events.
