Dense Fog Advisory: Drive with Caution Until Noon Today

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for multiple areas, including the Foothills and Valleys of Pierce and Southern King Counties, and the Lowlands of Pierce and Southern King Counties. The National Weather Service (NWS) Seattle has issued this advisory until 12:00 PM PDT today, October 5th. Residents are urged to drive with extreme caution.
Visibility is expected to be one-half mile or less in dense fog across the affected regions. This includes Grays Harbor County Coast, Lower Chehalis River Valley, Middle Chehalis River Valley, Foothills and Valleys of Pierce and Southern King Counties, Foothills and Valleys of Thurston and Lewis Counties, Lowlands of Lewis and Southern Thurston Counties, Lowlands of Pierce and Southern King Counties, Olympia and Southern Puget Sound, and Willapa and Black Hills.
Low visibility can create hazardous driving conditions. The NWS advises all drivers to slow down, use their headlights, and leave ample distance between their vehicle and others on the road. This advisory is effective immediately and expires at noon PDT today.
