Chick-fil-A Unveils 500K Sq Ft Distribution Hub in Flowery Branch, GA
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Chick-fil-A, the Atlanta-headquartered fast-food giant, celebrated the grand opening of its newest distribution center in Flowery Branch, Hall County, just north of Metro Atlanta. The 500,000-square-foot facility, unveiled recently, positions the area as a key logistics node for the Southeast, serving numerous restaurants amid the chain's aggressive growth. Flowery Branch, home to a bustling Chick-fil-A at 3437 Winder Hwy in nearby Oakwood, now anchors this expanded supply network.
Chick-fil-A Supply, the company's wholly owned subsidiary launched in 2019 with its first full-scale center, now operates this Georgia hub alongside eight others nationwide, totaling nine facilities that have created 1,000 jobs. The Flowery Branch site enhances efficiency for regional operations, mirroring recent investments like a $100 million, 270,000-square-foot center under construction in Elsmere, Kentucky -- set to employ 178 by 2026 and support 150 restaurants -- and a $150 million, 244,000-square-foot facility planned for Winter Haven, Florida, opening in 2027 with 180 jobs for 170 outlets. These projects mark Chick-fil-A Supply's 12th distribution center nationally.
Local leaders hailed the opening for injecting economic vitality into Hall County, where manufacturing and logistics thrive along I-985. The facility's scale -- twice that of the Kentucky project -- underscores Chick-fil-A's commitment to Georgia, where it employs thousands and maintains corporate offices in Fulton County. As the chain closes in on 3,000 U.S. locations, this Flowery Branch powerhouse ensures fresh ingredients reach counters faster, sustaining its signature service in the Peach State and beyond.
