Hamilton High wins state rocketry championship

Hamilton High School's Rocketry Club won the state championship at the Wisconsin Youth Rocketry Challenge on April 19, reclaiming the Peterson Cup.

The team outscored eight competitors from six Wisconsin high schools. Teams designed, built and launched model rockets while competing across multiple categories that tested engineering, flight analytics and precision.

"Reclaiming the Peterson Cup means a great deal to our club and Hamilton's rocketry program," said Patrick Wang, a junior and Rocketry Club president.

Hamilton High School is part of the Hamilton School District in Sussex.
