Hamilton High senior's photograph wins award at MOWA teen art show

Xzavier Mielke, a Hamilton High School senior, won the Teen Council Choice Award at the Museum of Wisconsin Art's 2026 Teen Art Show for his large-format photograph.

Mielke's work is part of "To Whom It May Concern: A Teen Perspective on Human Connection," an exhibition running through June 21 at MOWA in West Bend. The show features work from 29 regional high schools and asks teen artists to explore what genuine human connection means in their lives.

MOWA's Teen Council organized the exhibition. The museum hosted an opening party April 25 with free admission.

The Museum of Wisconsin Art is located at 205 Veterans Ave., West Bend.
