At 340 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Gaston to near Bowman. Movement was southwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Orangeburg, Brookdale, St. Matthews, Branchville, Bowman, Elloree, Santee State Park, Claflin College, South Carolina State University, Orangeburg County Airport, Sandy Run, Edisto Gardens, Santee, Swansea, North, Cameron, Neeses, Rowesville, Woodford, and Vance.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 26 between mile markers 125 and 169. Interstate 95 between mile markers 85 and 101.

**What You Should Do:**

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
