Dense Fog Advisory: Drive with Caution This Morning

Drivers in Northern Oneida, Yates, Seneca, Southern Cayuga, Onondaga, Steuben, Schuyler, Chemung, Tompkins, Madison, Southern Oneida, Cortland, Chenango, Otsego, Tioga, Broome, Delaware, Sullivan, Bradford, Susquehanna, Northern Wayne, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Pike, and Southern Wayne counties are advised to exercise extreme caution this morning due to widespread patchy dense fog.
The National Weather Service in Binghamton, NY, issued a Special Weather Statement at 5:10 AM EDT today, September 30, warning of visibility reduced to a half-mile or less. These conditions are expected to make driving hazardous.
The dense fog is anticipated to dissipate by approximately 9:00 AM EDT. Until then, motorists encountering dense fog should slow down, use their low-beam headlights, and maintain ample distance from other vehicles.
