This confidential document is used by the county assessor to determine market value and is the buyer’s responsibility to complete. Recording Fees: * Any Instrument First Page: $12.00 * Each Additional Page: $3.00 * More than 5 grantor or grantees of a different surname – each additional: $1.00 * More than ten sections, 1/4, 1/4 sections, blocks or tract descriptions – each additional: $1.00 * More than 2 release of mortgages listed on document – each additional: $2.00 * Certification: $5.00 (applicable copy fees will be added) * Copy of Public Record: $0.35 plus tax For documents with multiple legal descriptions, the office should be contacted for guidance on fees. The Clerk's office does not provide legal advice or document preparation assistance, recommending seeking an attorney for such matters. They can determine if a document is in recordable order and provide local title company names for research, but are not bonded to do extensive research. **E-FILING** Big Horn County accepts e-filing of documents through Simplifile.com. Users need to register with Simplifile to file documents electronically. Once verified, documents are transmitted to The Big Horn County Recorder's Office, reviewed for necessary recording components, and recorded in the order received. Documents needing correction are returned via Simplifile. Most documents are recorded on the day received. E-filings are accepted Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; submissions outside these hours will be processed the following business day. **ALL RECORDS NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE** The entire vault of Big Horn County records is now available digitally. Research can be conducted from home or office using ARCASearch for tract/abstract books and all public recorded documents prior to January 1976, and iDoc Market for all abstract information from January 2020 to present, including all recorded documents from 1976 to present. During normal business hours, both ArcaSearch and iDoc sites are available free of charge on computers in the vault. Physical books also remain accessible free of charge during normal business hours. As of July 1, 2021, the office no longer hand abstracts in track and subdivision books. **ArcaSearch Historical Records Research Site** https://gov.arcasearch.com/uswybhe/ This site offers daily, monthly, or annual subscription fees. It includes: * All Track Books including Subdivisions through January, 2020 (more recent abstract information is on iDoc Market). * All Grantor/Grantee Books. * Brand Books. * Corner Records through January, 2020 (more recent filings on iDoc Market). * Plats and Records of Survey through January, 2020 (more recent filings on iDoc Market). * Commissioner Minutes through January, 2021 (more recent minutes on the Big Horn County Website). * All recorded public documents prior to 1976. Users can easily locate, view detailed indexing, and print images. Typewritten documents are OCR coded and searchable by keywords. **IDoc Market Site** www.idocmarket.com. This site offers daily, monthly, or annual subscription fees and contains the most recently recorded documents: * All abstract information January 1, 2020, through present, including associated documents from 1976 to present.
