Federal Panel Recommends Shingles Vaccination for Adults 60 and Older
A federal advisory committee has recommended that adults aged 60 and older receive a new shingles vaccine. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices made the recommendation to reduce the risk of herpes zoster, commonly known as shingles. Shingles can cause chronic pain.
