Russian strike kills one, wounds nine in Kharkiv apartment building
Russian forces bombed an apartment building in Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, on Saturday, leaving one person dead and nine others wounded.
Ukrainian authorities confirmed the strike killed at least one resident. Among those injured were nine people, including a child age 6, officials said.
Harkov, located in northeastern Ukraine roughly 30 kilometers from the Russian border, has faced repeated attacks since Russia's invasion began in February 2022. The city remains under Ukrainian control but lies within range of Russian artillery and aerial bombardment.
Authorities did not provide additional details about the building or the circumstances surrounding the strike.
